Best Buy offers free flip case for Samsung Galaxy Note pre-orders

Best Buy is offering customers who pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Note a flip case cover. Pre-orders starte on February 5, and you can get a case that normally costs $29.99 for free, just by pre-ordering at Best Buy.
The Galaxy Note has a massive 5.3" display and will retail for $299.99 when it is released on February 19, 2012.

Dropbox is running a promotion to encourage people to try the beta version of Dropbox for Android. The new version's biggest feature is automatic uploading of pictures and video. If you don't care about privacy, you can have all of the pictures and video you take on your Android device automatically uploaded to your Dropbox account. RIM offers free PlayBook for Android developers who repackage their apps

RIM is trying to build their collection of Android apps that will run on the BlackBerry PlayBook. To help get developers rolling, the company is offering a free PlayBook to any Android Developer who repackages their Android app, and submits it to the BlackBerry App World by February 13.
The promotion was announced on Twitter by Alec Saunders, VP of developer relations.

This press photo was leaked on Twitter by industry insider Eldar Murtazin. It is a Samsung phone running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, that will be announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month. The phone is believed to be a new device, but NOT the Samsung Galaxy S III because Samsung says the S III will appear after MWC.

Mint.com, the site that consolidates all of your financial accounts into one secure location, has launched an Android tablet app. Mint.com already has an iPhone and Android phone app, but with Android tablet numbers expected to climb this year, the company is getting out ahead in hopes of providing a rich experience for Android tablet users.

Does your smartphone say something about how you conduct your love life? Maybe. In a recent Match.com survey, it appears that Android users get a little more love, a little quicker. Android users are more likely to have sex on the first date, and are more likely to have a one night stand, according to the survey.

If you're using a Sprint Nexus S 4G phone and want Ice Cream Sandwich, you're in luck. A build of ICS has leaked and it is believed that it is the same version that the carrier will soon release. The build number is IMM26 and so far the reports are it's stable.
If you'd like to install the new build you can head over to XDA via the link below, but be aware that you install it at your own risk.

Google is sure pushing Google+ these days. Even the official Android Developers page is now hosted on Google+. The new page makes sense as it will be a central place where Android developers can gather to share ideas, and chat with the Android dev team. There will surely be a lot of chatting and hangouts in the future.

At the CES conference this month, Sprint announced that their version of the Galaxy Nexus with LTE would be launching, but no official word was giving. It looks like the launch date could be coming soon because a new registration page for the Sprint Galaxy Nexus has popped up on the official Nexus site. Pre-registration pages usually means the device's release is just around the corner.

Courtesy of Phones 4u, the Prada Phone by LG 3.0 will hit the UK Friday, January 27, 2012. The high-fashion phone has some decent specs including dual-core processor, 8MP camera, and ultra-bright NOVA display. Verizon said today that the Verizon Droid RAZR MAXX will be available for purchase on Thursdya, Jan. 26. The new Droid RAZR MAXX will be available both online and in Verizon stores. The Droid RAZR MAXX will be available for $299.99 with a two-year contract. That's $100 more than you would pay for the regular RAZR.
