Opera has released the latest beta version of its mobile browser. This beta version features many improvements, including a switch from the Presto browser engine to WebKit. The WebKit engine is currently used by both Google Chrome and AOSP.

New UI: Opera Android redesigned its interface and makes it more elegant and sleek-looking. Its new UI is built to the native specifications of the Android platform.
New Speed Dial: Netizens always want their links and bookmarks to be easily accessed. With the newest Speed Dial, the bookmarks are fused together with the Speed Dial entries to make it more accessible. It makes it easier to group, organize and rename Speed Dial entries. Users could even gather them in one folder.
Discover feature: Opera makes a new way in discovering web content. From the Discover panel of the startup screen, users are given opportunity to choose between wide selections of popular articles and dig deeper into their interests. Topics such as sports, technology, lifestyle, travel, etc. are there. Opera has already selected relevant global and regional sources to make surfing easier for netizens.
Off-Road mode: If there is a bad network occurring, Off-road mode will save users. It is a compression technology from Opera Mini and will be adopted by the latest Opera browser.
Tabbed browsing: Tabbed browsing makes it easier to browse, open and sort all your open browsers n your phone or tablet. Private browsing is also there.
Address and Search bar combined: For a more elegant and intuitive UI, Opera has combined the search and URL field.
History: This makes history easier to access. Users can now easily return to the last page they were in earlier. They just need to swipe their fingers to the right to access the content on the left on their home screen.
Save or later: This feature is getting popular to a lot of browsers. Opera has it now. This feature lets user download a webpage and let them read it later offline. It is a perfect feature to those who can’t read long articles on a flight.
