Acer is planning to follow other smartphone manufacturers if the hints of its presidents can be believed. In an advertorial in Mobile World Daily 2013, ST Liew, Smartphone Business Group President at Acer, said his company plans to launch a Liquid S-series, quad-core phablet device. He did not give specifics as to screen size or speed, but to be considered a phablet it would have to be north of 5 inches at least.
