Archos, a French company known for its budget-friendly phones, will launch its first ever Android phones. It is reported that Archos is planning to unveil their plans about the phones next week, on the upcoming MWC.
The first phone they are going to introduce is the Archos 35 Carbon. It will have a 3.5” display of 320 x 480 resolution. It will run on a 1 GHz processor partnered with a 512MB RAM, 512 internal memory with microSD support. It also features 3G connectivity as well as a Dual SIM support. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will come pre-installed. It is powered by a 1500mAh battery. Its pricing could start at $120.
The company’s Archos 48 Platinum will be its newest flagship phone. It comes with a 4.8” IPS display of 1280 x 800 resolution. It will run on a 1.7 Ghz quad-core MediaTek processor. Other features include a 3G connection, FM Radio, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS. It will have the Android 4.1 Jellybean. There are several sources saying that it may have the LTE Radio as well. It will carry a $333 price tag.
The last phone is a phablet. The Archos 52 Titanium is a 5.2” inch smartphone with a 800 x 480 display. It will have a processing power of a dual 1.2 Ghz chip partnered with 512MB of RAM, 4GB internal memory, 5MP camera, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and a 2200 mAh battery.
Pricing for the last phone is still unknown. All phones will hit the market probably by April.
