RIM offers free PlayBook for Android developers who repackage their apps

News - By: SPBlast! Staff - February 02, 2012

RIM is trying to build their collection of Android apps that will run on the BlackBerry PlayBook. To help get developers rolling, the company is offering a free PlayBook to any Android Developer who repackages their Android app, and submits it to the BlackBerry App World by February 13.

The promotion was announced on Twitter by Alec Saunders, VP of developer relations.

Shh.... Android Devs - submit your Android app to BB AppWorld by Feb 13 and get a free Playbook --> tools here: http://bit.ly/w758Ci

RIM makes the process pretty easy, but you will need to remove some references to Android in your code.
