Kindle Fire's Silk browser hacked to run on other devices

News - By: SPBlast! Staff - January 04, 2012

When Amazon released the Kindle Fire, they touted their new Silk browser's caching features as speeding up mobile browsing. The results have been mixed at best since the launch of the Kindle Fire. Some people love it, and others (like me) find it to be no faster than other browsers.

Thanks to the work of a xda-developers forum member, the Silk browser can now be ported to a variety of other Android devices. The results are mixed, but if you're interested you can get the download at the link below.
