Amazon's 7-inch tablet launching in November for $250

News - By: SPBlast! Staff - September 03, 2011

Amazon is set to release a pair of Android tablets in the near future. It has been widely known that Amazon would launch at least one tablet this year with the next one to follow a little later. However, we have never heard anything about pricing. TechCrunch reports that it had the opportunity to play with the 7-inch Kindle Tablet, and they say it will be released in November for $250. That's half the price of the entry level iPad 2.

TechCrunch also reports that Amazon intends to give its Amazon Prime service for free with each purchase of the Kindle tablet. That's a $79 value. Amazon Prime offers subscribers free two day shipping on Amazon orders, and unlimited on-demand video streaming.
