Google's Android 3.0 or "Honeycomb" is specifically designed for tablets, and will not be coming to smartphones anytime soon. That is according to Google spokesman Andrew Kovacs.
After the launch of Honeycomb and its Web Store on Wednesday, the company spokesman didn't stick around to take questions. He did however answer one question when asked if Android 3.0 would appear on phones. He said, "Features will arrive on phones over time."
So smartphone users will have to wait awhile to see the full benefit of Honeycomb but rest assured, Honeycombs features will affect what smartphones can do and will almost certainly make it over to the smaller screen eventually.
