Details of the successor to the Droid X are floating around thanks so several rumors and leaks. A user at MobiZone posted several pictures with specs of the new device. Nobody knows if these specs are real and the forum post has since been removed. A cached version of the page is there, but the photo links are broken. It's a good thing engadget grabbed a couple of shots.
The rumored specs indicate a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of RAM, 4.3-inch 540 x 960-pixel display, an 8-megapixel camera. It will run Android 2.2 but will only support 3G.
The Droid X 2 is supposed to be available in the second quarter of 2011. This looks like a moderate, but nice upgrade for Droid X users.
