Sprint EVO getting Froyo tomorrow?

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - July 29, 2010

Could Froyo be coming to the Sprint EVO tomorrow? Engadget is reporting that the EVO could be getting the update as soon as tomorrow, but most EVO devices will probably see an update August 1.

Engadget got their hands on some internal Sprint slides that show a list of improvements to the Android OS. The EVO will get the ability to use the LED as a flashlight as well as several new widgets. It will also get a much needed bump in 720p video recording. Other new features include Flash 10.1 support, alpha-numeric pins, and 4-point orientation rotation.

The rumor is that Froyo also gives a speed increase overall so let's hope that's the case. The EVO can be buggy at times so let's hope Froyo brings improved stability overall.
