Opera Mini 5 Beat released for Android

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - March 11, 2010

Opera has released Opera Mini 5 Beta for Android. Opera says the jump from version 4 to version 5 has new features and “makes your mobile browsing experience as close as it can be to your desktop experience.”

One of the biggest new features is tabbed browsing, but here are some other new features:

  • Speed Dial: Gives you one-touch access to 9 of your favorite sites.
  • Password Manager
  • Opera Link: Syncs your bookmarks (and Speed Dial) between your handset and your desktop (be it that you’re running Opera on your desktop, that is)

One thing to note is the current beta does not support multi-touch. Yikes. Let's hope they get that added in soon.
