Firefox Mobile for Android coming in late 2010, WM version under review

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - February 18, 2010

We've heard so many rumors about a mobile version of Firefox but we haven't seen much progress. We've seen alphas of "Fennec" released for Maemo but nothing solid for any other platform.

BGR reports that Mozilla’s VP of Mobiles, Jay Sullivan, recently said "Mozilla is targeting the end of 2010 as a tentative release date for the Android edition of Firefox Mobile."

That's great news for Android, and with the recent announcement of MeeGo things are looking up for Mozilla, but what about Windows Mobile? Apparently an alpha version for Windows Mobile is in the works but with the recent announcement of the radically different Windows Phone 7, Firefox Mobile for Windows Mobile are under review.
