Motorola working on Google Phone

During a conference call to discuss it latest quarterly results, Motorola confirmed that it will make a Google phone. CEO Sanjay Jha said that 20 new smartphones are on tap for the year and that one of them will be a "direct to consumer device with Google."

We previously heard rumors that there was a Motorola Shadow that might become the Nexus 2. Now we know that Motorola is in fact working on a Google phone and it will be sold via Google to the consumer.

No other information is known and no release date has been given.
