How to hard reset a Nexus One

If you're experiencing problems with your Nexus One you may have to reset it. Everyone knows how to do a soft reset - remove the battery. If you're experiencing more serious problems and need to hard reset the phone follow the instructions below.

Nexus One Hard Reset:

  • Turn the phone off
  • Hold the Volume Down button then press the Power button.
  • You will see a boot menu with some skateboard guys.
  • Using the Volume Down button, select Clear Storage from the list.
  • Press the Power button to select, then confirm by pressing the Volume Up button.
  • Your phone will reboot.
