Motorola making G1 v2 for T-Mobile?

It looks like Motorola is jumping into the Android phone market in a big way. It appears that the company will be making the next version of the T-Mobile G1 instead of HTC. According to BGR, Motorola is the company that will produce the next version of the G1 and they have no idea why HTC is out of the picture.
